I asked Kevin for a pretty difficult baitcasting rod build and he knocked it out of the park.
I creek fish quite a lot and have been wanting to start throwing larger glidebaits but still needed a rod that was short enough to cast in close quarters. Also didn't want a short broomstick in my hands. Kevin communicated with me extensively on different setups and put together a rod that far exceeded my expectations.
This is by far the lightest rod that I own, but will still toss out a heavy glidebait with just a flick of the wrist. It will also handle a 1/16oz jig head and Senco with the same ease of cast.
Gone are the days of carrying 2 setups to fish all of the different lures that I use.

We've used Kcustom rods for a little over a month now. They've been through the brush and briars, landed trophy fish, taken a few baths in the creek, and still standing strong. Ours are built on the foundation of an MHX blank and meticulously built bolstering some beautiful epoxy below and above the Winn grips.
We haven't had the honor of landing a 20" smallmouth on one just yet but I have fought a few 18s and had no issue playing the fish in moving water into my net for a photo opportunity.
